The 2008 Girard Petite Sirah is Gone… 2009 Released

Well, it was fun while it lasted.  But never fear, the 2009 is here.  This hefty fella is 98% Petite Sirah and only 2% Zinfandel bringing more of what you come to expect and love from PS to the table.  This vintage is a inky, dark, fruit-forward wine with aromas of baked black cherry tart, dark plum, vanilla bean, anise and allspice.  It is still young and will develop nicely in the bottle, but for some Shazam! factor and that big fruit, it’ll sip well now with that Ribeye.
